Farewell Dr Berstein

As many in the WCSU Community know Students will be losing a true advocate this year with the retirement of Dr. Walter Bernstein.   After nearly 40 years of service at WCSU, Dr. Bernstein has held numerous positions.  He assumed his most recent position as Vice President for Student affairs in 2000.  He has always sought out and implemented new ideas to improve student life and activities at the University.   Dr. Bernstein is an instrumental supporter of the WCSU Men’s Hockey Team as well as all the Recreational and Club Sports Teams at the University.

The Men’s Ice Hockey Team presented to Dr. Bernstein an autographed WCSU Jersey as the bid farewell to their longtime friend.

DANNY ALLEN NOTCHES 8 POINTS FOR SECHL ALL STAR TEAM IN ALL STAR CHALLENGE AS THE SECHL PLACES #3 IN THE COUNTRY!

Farewell Seniors  We say farewell to our 2 graduating Players Max Beitel and Danny Allen.
Max was a hard working Player favorite who was chosen as an Alternate Captain by his peers this season.  He played a total of 73 games in the WestConn uniform.
Danny who has been in a leadership role with the Team for the last 3 seasons has played both defense and forward to the Colonials over his 4 year WestConn career.  He was a transfer from Salve Regina where he played his freshman year.  While with WestConn Danny was a NECHA All Star and two time All-SECHL Honorable Mention.  He will also be playing in the All Star Challenge this season for the SECHL Team.  He leaves the Colonials after playing 4 seasons with 95 games played and 102 total points.

In other Colonial news Matt Burdick was named Third Team in the Super East All-Star balloting and was named a SECHL All-Scholastic Player.

Freshmen Anthony Fasulo (16 points in 13 games played) and Goaltender Ron Johnson received Team awards for high GPA's during the season.
