SUMMER SKATE SLATED FOR JUNE 21^st AT 11AM

The WCSU Annual Summer Skate is schedule fore June 21^st at 11AM at the Danbury Arena. All returning and new Players are invited to attend. Following the scrimmage there will be a cookout at Coach Allen’s home for all the Players and their families.

WCSU AND THE DANBURY ARENA TEAM UP TO HOST THE 2010 ACHA NORTHEAST REGIONAL TOURNAMENT!

Danbury, May 5, 2009

It was announced today that the WCSU Colonials and the Danbury Arena will host the 2010 Northeast Regional Tournament. The Northeast Regional will take place on Saturday and Sunday February 27^th and 28^th, 2010.

The Tournament will feature 8 of the Northeast’s top 10 teams playing for a chance to compete in the National Tournament in March.

The Danbury Arena is a state of the art skating facility with two ice surfaces.

NECHA REALIGNMENT

The NorthEast Collegiate Hockey Association admitted more teams at the spring meeting and realigned the American Conference. Below is the new alignment:

Western Connecticut State University	Massachusetts Institute of Technology

WCSU will play all teams in the West twice and have scheduled games with:

Millersville University

Rider University

The second annual Governor’s Cup tournament is schedule for November 20, 21.

WCSU is scheduled for 26 games this season.

WCSU Holds Annual Banquet

The WCSU Men’s Ice Hockey Team held their annual banquet on Sunday April 5^th. They celebrated their first season ranked among the Northeast’s top 10 Teams and their terrific late season 6-1 run to claim their 5^th consecutive playoff berth in NECHA.

They also bid farewell to five instrumental Seniors. All-time scoring leader Danny Corini and all-time save leader Steve Grota were joined by defensemen Billy Adreani and Gavin McDonough and Siena transfer and standout Mike Ryan.
