WCSU CLINCHES 8^TH Consecutive NECHA PLAYOFF SPOT

For the 8^th consecutive year the WCSU Colonials have secured a NECHA Playoff spot clinching 3rd place behind UCONN and UMASS.  They will travel to Northeastern University for a quarterfinal playoff game.

Though the Colonials have made the playoffs in prior years they have only once moved into the semifinals where they lost in 2006-2007 to MIT.  In the 2004-2006 season the Colonials finished the regular season with the best record in the NECHA.

The Colonials current rank of 14 is off the mark to reach the ACHA Regional Tournament which they are hosting at the Danbury Arena on February 27^th and 28^th.  With 2 games remaining against top 10 teams Boston College and Marist University, the Colonials have a chance of placing in the top 10 with a good showing.
